Mrs & Mrs Ley

Llangoed Hall | 27-08-2016

We were thrilled to be chosen to capture the wedding of Emily & Gareth (Obi to his mates), at the stunning Llangoed Hall in Wales. Gareth proposed to Emily on 16th June 2015 under a waterfall whilst they were in Wales, Emily said “He surprised me as I thought we were going to meet friends for lunch at the top of the hill, however he had planned the whole thing with champagne and wearing a t-shirt saying “real men marry nurses” ?. I’d been a bit of a nightmare complaining of my hay fever and getting my new shoes muddy. But it was the most magical and special moment”. It just seemed fitting that Emily’s fairytale wedding day would take place back in Wales. The couple did lots of research to find their dream location, Emily told us “The beauty of the venue sold it to us, it took our breath away and we didn’t think twice about booking it”.

Emily and Gareth met 5 years ago, they were introduced by of of Emily’s closest friends, the two of them had worked overseas together and knowing both of them she thought they would make a great match. Emily works as an adults nurse for early pregnancy and gynaecology at Walsall Manor Hospital, Gareth owns his own wake boarding and water sports centre at Chase Water. When your with them you can just see how much these guys love each other, they just fit!

We travelled to Wales the evening prior to their wedding day so we could be with our happy couple as early as possible. When we arrived at the venue we we’re introduced to the couples babies (2 gorgeous black labradours) Sky & Chase. The dogs were very at home and ran round Llangoed Hall like they had lived their forever. As you will see from the photos they were very much part of the day, even down to walking their beautiful owners down the aisle. The Wedding had lots of little nods to the families Welsh heritage, with Gareth and his grooms men all dressed in grey Welsh Kilts. Our stunning bride stole the show with an exquisite gown by Chanticleer brides in Cheltenham, the dress was made to measure and design was called Lilly. The bridesmaids were dressed in silver-grey gowns by Asos. Emily choose long and elegant gowns as all of her bridesmaids were tall.

You could see by every perfect detail that a lot of effort and time had gone into making this a truly memorable wedding day. The theme of the wedding was a Welsh rustic wedding with a modern twist, i think you will see from the photos they pulled it off .
